How is moverj.com different from other moving company?

Moverj.com is not a moving company. We are an online marketplace matching customers with professional moving companies. The standard rates are transparently presented on our website. No hidden costs. No registration fees.

Is my information secure?

Yes.

What happens after I have submitted my enquiry?

We will send you an acknowledgement email directly after receiving your online request. Our location based trusted partners will provide best moving quotes and complimentary consultation, so you can choose best moving company.

What is free moving “Quote” and how many should I get?

It is an estimate/guess of the approximate cost of your moving based on your inventory. We will provide you at least three moving cost estimates because that way you can compare moving companies and services rates. The more estimates you get the better idea you will have of how much your move may cost you.

Do I need an estimate?

Yes, our trusted partners will need to visit your home to conduct a visual survey of the all of the items you plan to move, that will determine the approximate cost based on the amount of items you are moving and their weight and give you a written Estimate/Order for Service.

Keep in mind that estimates (household goods surveys) are only guidelines. On interstate shipments, you must pay the total charges as determined by the actual weight of your shipment, the distance it travels and the services that you authorize or which become necessary to handle your shipment.

How do I select which moving companies will provide me with a free moving estimate?

All of our trusted partners will give you the free moving quotes.

How can I judge which one is good moving company?

Please check the reviews and recommendations of the mover, also investigate each of the movers you select with the Better Business Bureau.

“Good service is the best measure of a good mover!”

How do I know if my movers are licensed and insured?

You can easily check whether the mover is licensed and insured. This information should be available on the mover website, advertising materials and trucks. Whenever you call a mover, you can ask them for their DOT and MC license numbers and then verify them with the Department of Transportation and the local authority. If they are licensed, by law they have to offer limited liability protection. Some movers offer additional coverage as well or can refer to agents they work with if you need full coverage for your belongings.

What information should the moving company provide?

The moving company should provide all information you need. First the movers should answer all your moving related questions and those of them which are truly professional will go even beyond and provide personalized moving tips. Then, upon booking they must provide you with your final estimation and confirmation of your moving date and time. At the moving day they must provide you with Your Rights and Responsibilities when You Move booklet, copy of the estimate, copy of the signed confirmation, your Bill of Lading and an inventory list if moving long distance.

Some moving companies may provide additional discounts if asked. Just ask about their discounts and promotions and see if you can take advantage of those. This is one of the questions to ask when hiring movers that can save you some extra money.

What services do you offer?

We offer a full range of packing, moving and storage services through our partners.

What credentials should I look for in a moving company?

Moving companies are regulated by the government. State Commerce Commission is the body that licenses moving companies.

As part of these licenses, they are required to carry general liability, auto liability, and workers compensation insurance. Further, all movers must display their license numbers on any advertising.

What happens if I need to reschedule?

Call as soon as you find out that your move can not be executed the day you have scheduled and request for reschedule.

What’s your cancellation policy?

We request you that you can call and cancel at least 2 days prior to your move date or as early as possible.

Are there any hidden fees?

There are absolutely no hidden fees.

When should I schedule my move?

As a general rule of thumb, it is recommended to schedule your move well in advance, at least 2 weeks in advance. Planning in advance will give you time to work things out properly and not miss out on important things because of lack of time.

What happens if I am not satisfied with the result?

Customer satisfaction is very important to us. If you are not happy with the moving service, please email us at support@moverj.com.
