In 1936 the Interstate Commerce Commission started granting certificates for Motor Carriers. The then Andrews Transfer & Storage obtained a certificate to operate in 13 non-radial states: North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, and Nebraska. The company operated within this area until 1947, when it purchased a certificate that added 22 additional non-radial states, giving it access to the east coast.
